I am currently the Art Director for Ottawa Therapy Dogs. I also manage and create several print and web projects for a variety of companies across Canada from home while accepting intermittent short-term government contracts until a permanent job presents itself that I would be as proud to work for them as they would to have me as part of their team. OTD is one such association. My services are donated on a volunteer basis to support their services. I am honored to be part of such a worthy registered charity.

I have been in the forefront of today’s print and web industry for over three decades. I saw it all happen. I was fortunate to have been there when the web was introduced.  I’ve been surrounded by the leaders and developers that provided invaluable knowledge that I now apply and follow to provide products that meets the clients and their audiences expectations.

I was grand fathered into the association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario in 1998. I am highly skilled in a variety of artistic mediums.

I was on the steering committee for the 2009 Bloody Words Murder Mystery Crime Writers 3-day conference which received a grant and recognition by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Minister of Heritage Canada, and the majors of Ottawa and Vanier. I was also on the Public Health Agency of Canada’s (PHAC) web steering committee that implemented a few of the CLF and WCAG errors that I identified that had to be corrected.

I have managed and directed teams of graphic designers and web developers through my government contracts or past experience working at Stentor. Stentor was the alliance of all the major telecommunications companies across Canada. My team and I were responsible for all the sales collateral, advertising, point-of-purchase (POP), and internal/external communication print products on the alliance members' behalf. My print portfolio has several samples of those projects.

I am proud that my work is seen on a regional, national, and international level. I‘m fortunate to have been part of so many projects and to have gained the knowledge I need to create and produce print and web products for such professional people, associations, charities, and businesses. My work has been sold in Canadian Tire, Walmart, Stereo Plus, PharmaPlus, PharmaPrix, Canadian Airlines, and has appeared in Flare and Hollywood magazines.

Many colleagues and other professionals have contributed to my current levels of Quality Assurance (QA). I’ve learned from the best. Many now teach in our local universities or colleges or are presidents and VPs of multi-national companies. I am most proud of my oldest and dearest colleague who now sits on Ottawa’s City Council.

I am a seasoned graphic designer and web developer with illustration, photography, 3D skills, communication, and writing skills. Art Director sums it all up in one title. In other words, the total package. I consistently aim to meet or exceed my clients expectations, and do!
